John is believed to be the son of John FITZRANDOLPH, Lord of Spennithorne, & Joan CONYERS, and the brother of Ralph FITZRANDOLPH, Lord of Spennithorne, and, also, the brother of Christopher FITZRANDOLPH, parson of Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. However, I have not seen primary evidence to verify this.


(2) Christopher FITZRANDOLPH [Sr.], b. about 1495 probably in Spennithorne, Yorkshire, England, d. about Apr 1570 in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, England; m., 1514 in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, England, to Jane (or Joan) LANGTON (b. unknown, d. 1574; daughter of Cuthbert LANGTON); they resided in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, England; their children:
